A multinational company, a leader in oil & gas industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in maintaining a culture of safety excellence on our drilling projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures specific to drilling operations.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
Provide comprehensive safety training to drilling project personnel.
Lead emergency response planning and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
Conduct regular safety inspections, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions.
Investigate incidents and accidents, providing recommendations for prevention.
Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Foster a strong safety culture through communication and collaboration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2 years of experience as a Safety Officer in drilling projects.
Knowledge of drilling operations, equipment, and associated safety risks.
Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
