FINE ARTS – MUSIC INSTRUCTOR (FALL 1, 2025)

Job Overview:
We are inviting applications for a passionate and skilled Fine Arts – Music Instructor to join our academic team for the Fall 1, 2025 term. The course will explore music theory, composition, history, and performance across various genres and traditions. The instructor will foster musical creativity, cultural appreciation, and technical proficiency through engaging lectures and hands-on learning.
Key Responsibilities:
– Teach foundational and advanced music concepts, including theory, composition, history, and performance.
– Introduce students to a variety of musical genres and cultural music traditions.
– Facilitate practical sessions in vocal and/or instrumental performance, ensemble work, and music appreciation.
– Design and assess assignments, presentations, and performances that reflect course outcomes.
– Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to support student growth and confidence.
– Incorporate interactive teaching strategies to engage diverse learners.
– Contribute to a creative and inclusive learning environment in line with institutional values.
– Follow academic guidelines and support the overall educational mission of the institution.
Qualifications:
– Education: Master’s degree or PhD in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
– Experience: University-level teaching experience is preferred. A background in performance, music direction, or music production is highly valued.
– Skills: Proficiency in music theory, vocal/instrumental instruction, and familiarity with music technology or notation software (e.g., Finale, Sibelius, or DAWs).
– Technology: Ability to integrate multimedia tools, virtual instruments, or digital platforms for music learning.
– Language: Must be fluent in English (Arabic is an added advantage).
Legal Requirements:
– Must currently reside in Qatar and hold a valid Qatari ID.
