Hiring Industrial Hygiene Consultant
Job Opening: Immediate
Contract type: Direct hire – Full Time Position
Office base location: KSA/UAE (first year in KSA and then to be based in UAE)
Projects location: UAE, and GCC/MENA region
Qualifications: BSc in Occupational Health, HSE or equivalent
Certification: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent international recognized certification
Years of Experience: Min. 7 years in relevant OH field
Equipment Experience: Experienced in handling/use of various OH monitoring instruments (Dosimeters, air sampling pumps, sound level meter, etc.). Experience in full face respirator fit test is a plus
Field of experience: Oil & Gas, and Petrochemical Sectors
Fitness: Physically fit to perform field works
Roles & Responsibility under supervision and technical support of OH Team Lead:
Facilitate Occupational Health Hazard Identification (OHID) Workshops for various projects and operations.
Adequate training will be provided to the candidate by OH Team Lead on OHID approach.
Conduct qualitative Health Risk Assessment (OHRA) studies for the systematic identification of chemical, physical, biological, psychosocial and ergonomic hazards & risk levels.
Carryout walkthrough surveys and development of health hazard risk registers
Using the sampling and analytical techniques published in UK HSE Methods for the Determination of Hazardous
Substances (MDHS) guidance.
Conducting biological monitoring and develop the program.
Recognize existing hygiene hazards and list them per location and occupation.
Evaluate the potential/existing hygiene hazards.
Identify the most efficient method to control the existing hazards.
Monitor effectiveness of hygiene hazard controls.
Analysis of results and preparation of quantitative OHRA Reports.
