JOB VACANCY – GEOPHYSICIST SPECIALIST – FIELD (SAUDI ARABIA)
GEOPHYSICIST SPECIALIST Job Descriptions:
Applicant with specialist knowledge of land and marine seismic acquisition and processing projects,
Very good skills in the presentation and documentation of project results, and data analysis.
Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of seismic data collected during projects.
Work closely with technical teams to address and resolve any issues related to data acquisition, and processing.
Monitor geophysical seismic projects to ensure they align with contracts, procedures, and industry standards. Key
Responsibilities:
Perform seismic data evaluation and design for high channel counts, wide azimuth and broad band seismic survey.
Complete geodetic survey calculations, and provide related GNSS expertise.
Perform Quality Control of acquired seismic data sets.
Perform technical as well as safety audit of seismic crews.
Perform evaluation of geophysical contracts.
Perform evaluation of new technologies and equipment.
Experience with VSP acquisition and processing.
Familiar with geophysical and survey software applications (processing and Survey Design).
A highly motivated team player with the ability to work efficiently within multidisciplinary, multi-cultural teams.
Supervise and manage seismic crews.
Supervise, lead, and train junior acquisition geophysicists in surveying and acquisition activities.
Required qualifications, experience and expertise:
You should also have a minimum of 15 years in the geophysical data acquisition domain, including at least 10 years of experience in onshore/offshore seismic data acquisition
Experience in Survey Evaluation Design for 3D high channel counts and a strong understanding of key elements of seismic recording equipment, sensors, and sources (seismic vibrators /airguns)
Preferred Qualifications: Masters or Doctorate Degree in Geophysics
