Job Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a major infrastructure and transportation project in Qatar. The successful candidate will play a key role in cost management, contract administration, quantity measurement, and project financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
This position is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in roads, highways, and large-scale infrastructure developments.
Position Details
- Position: Quantity Surveyor
- Location: Qatar
- Contract Duration: 36 Months
- Immediate Joining Preferred
- Candidates must currently reside in Qatar with a valid QID
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and project valuations.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Monitor project costs and ensure effective budget management.
- Administer contracts and manage variations, claims, and payment applications.
- Evaluate contractor submissions and verify completed work quantities.
- Support tendering, procurement, and contract negotiation activities.
- Prepare cost reports, progress reports, and commercial documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, contractual obligations, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, consultants, and contractors to achieve project objectives.
- Assist in dispute resolution and commercial risk management activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of quantity surveying experience in infrastructure, road, or highway projects.
- Valid UPDA certification is mandatory.
- Consultancy experience in transportation or infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contract administration procedures.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and quantity surveying software.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
